Mick de Lint (1981) was raised in Amsterdam until he was 14, then moved to Vancouver with his family. Wanting to pursue a career in acting he moved to New York at age 20 to attend the Circle in the Square Theatre School. He acted for a couple of years in films and on TV, but when he moved back to Amsterdam in 2008 he started working behind the camera as well, ultimately turning his hobby of directing, video-editing and photography into a full-time profession. He soon realized that he had more of a connection with making films and taking photo’s than standing in front of the camera and he hasn’t looked back since.
Mick has been working with Scotch & Soda on a steady basis, filming, editing and directing their campaign films since 2010. But besides working with moving image, Mick has developed his photographic work as well, shooting Fashion Gone Rogue, Schön! Magazine, The Fashionisto, Revs, NSMBL, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Vogue.
